3 Wheel Riding

Can-Am-Logo

We proudly offer the most updated version of MSF's "3W-BRC"

Select a Basic RiderCourse
We are happy to say that this year we’ve partnered with CAN-AM, allowing us to offer the course for as little as $75* AND allowing you to train on all New CAN-AM Spyders**!
Like the 2 Wheeled BRC, this course is designed to give new riders the basics and to break the bad habits of experienced riders.
The 3 Wheeled Basic Rider Course teaches the basic mental and physical skills needed for riding a traditional “Tryke” or a CanAm styled 3 Wheeled Motorcycle. In Indiana, this course provides a waiver of the written and riding licensing tests. However, your endorsement will be for 3 Wheeled Motorcycles only

Pre-requisites:

  • Possess either a driver’s license OR a motorcycle learner’s permit

  • Have basic riding gear noted below.

What to Expect

  • 15-hours of instruction (5 hours classroom/10 hours riding)

  • Range exercises include low-speed maneuvers and basic skills such as shifting, accelerating, braking, cornering, U-turn, lane change

  • You’ll be with the same group for the duration of your training

  • You’ll receive individual RiderCoach feedback while learning to ride

  • Books are provided

What to Bring

  • Your 3 Wheeled Motorcycle IF you own one

  • Your riding gear

  • Pen/pencil for classroom sessions

  • Food/beverages for breaks and lunch

What you MUST Wear:

  • Long-sleeve shirt or jacket

  • Long pants (heavy denim or riding pants recommended)

  • Over-the-ankle boots (sturdy, not canvas)

  • Eye protection (Eye/sun glasses or Helmet with faceshield)

  • Full-finger gloves (bring your own)

  • Full-face or ¾-face helmet (limited number available or bring your own

The course concludes with a classroom knowledge test and hands-on riding skill evaluation. Once your RiderCoach hands you the course-completion card, you’ll be happy knowing that you’ve gone the extra mile to develop safe riding techniques.
There are benefits to taking a RiderCourse besides learning important skills and strategies: Indiana will waive both the written and the riding portion of your 3 wheeled motorcycle endorsement tests, if you’ve successfully completed the Basic RiderCourse.
In addition, many insurance companies will provide a discount on your insurance. Be sure to ask your agent because many save you more than 10% Annually from both Motorcycle AND Auto.
Currently this course is only being offered at the Columbus Airport Facility.

  1. Courses are currently being offered at:
    Columbus Airport West Ramp
    5175 N Warren Dr,
    Columbus, IN 47203

You will be met by your Rider Coach at the gate at the Cummins Corporate Aircraft Terminal. She/He will provide you parking instructions.
    * The $75 fee reflects pricing for participants taking the BRC on a Can-Am Spider. Those electing not to use a Can-Am Spider will be required to pay the full tuition or $250.
** We encourage the use of our training 3 Wheeled Motorcycles but if you want to use your own, it is welcomed so long as it is legally registered, insured and meets all the requirements to be legally driven on the roadways and does not have a custom wheel-base.
    Rescheduling/Refund Policy
We do not refund class fees once scheduled. The reason for not refunding is that the costs that you pay are immediately forwarded to pay for Rider Coaches, Training Manuals, Facility costs, etc. that are non-refundable to us. These costs often exceed the cost that you’ve paid. So once you’re signed up, you’re guaranteeing you’ll be there and ready to train and we guarantee the training will be provided.

We also do not reschedule classes (for most of the same reasons as above) unless the Rider Coach determines that it is too dangerous to continue. At that point, we will do all we can to coordinate a time with you finish off the training from the point of where the training was stopped OR get you into another class at the determination of the Rider Coach. Frankly, in 4 years we have not had a weekend that has been forced to be rescheduled. It has rained and training delayed but we’ve always been able to work it out so that everyone could complete the training. One note: We do train in the rain and the cold so please dress appropriately. Classes will be stopped for lightening or severe weather.

About us

Here at M Y Motorsports, we’re 100% focused on helping people learn how to ride motorcycle properly. We don’t just teach basic courses. Rather, we take our teaching capabilities to a different level. Aside from learning the basics, you can also learn important techniques and strategies. These informational points are not average textbook knowledge. They come from years of experience and riding know-how. On top of that, our professional coaches have a proactive approach to teaching. This simply means that you can raise questions and concerns whenever you see fit. Through proper questioning, you’ll learn the things you need to learn and unlearn some concepts that may hinder you as a professional motorcycle rider.
